This summer we got Dazed & Blazed thanks to our friends at AMEX! The headliners were dynamic and the earthy aroma was very on-brand. We vibed to some of our favourite tunes and resisted the urge to bring the Mannequin Challenge black to life when Rae Sremmurd performed Black Beetle (remember that?)

Pique kicked off the summer with a Neptunes-themed party at Ollie Quinn! The Kronenberg was flowing and Shaine CRSB, Gonnie Garko, Beat Sampras and Asey were on the 1s and 2s, spinning all the best from Pharrell and friends.

A few weeks ago we popped up at Pawty Time, Collectif Nude’s monthly hang at the Drake Underground. We caught a vibe to DJ sets from Chippy Nonstop, CRSB and Iz and an uptempo live performance from Miguel Angeles.

In the midst of all of the CMW excitement, we got to see CupcakKe live at Mod Club! Her openers Sammus and FF Friend Chippy Nonstop set the high-energy mood for the eccentric, exciting, unapologetic Chicago MC’s headlining set.

This year we spent 4/20 with Bill Nye and some of our favourite Toronto-based creatives at Nike’s festive dispensary display, hosted at their flagship loft. Between hanging with Bill and posing by all of the Insta-friendly displays, we found out how runner’s high stacks up next to its earthier counterpart.

Remember when you rushed home to watch 106&Park? Us too. Karim Olen Ash and Bobby Bowen brought up all of those nostalgic feels when they teamed up to create a throwback experience inspired by early 2000’s BET. The party was a memorable kickoff to the summer season and featured DJ sets from both hosts, Bambii, Tona, Chippy Nonstop and more.
